A/PMS baseline information
Update - Access to a deceased patients record or access to a Health Record - click here

Date: 02 August 2022
Summary: Deceased patient records no longer need to be printed and sent to PCSE. From Monday 1 August, GP practices are required to respond to Access to Health Records Act (AHRA) requests for deceased patients and action accordingly.

Summary: Commissioners can now use the new PCSE Online feature to enter A/PMS baseline information for payments from 1 April 2022 onwards, this will allow A/PMS practices to view global sum capitation data on their monthly contractual statements.

Summary: CCG Commissioners can now use the new PCSE Online feature to enter A/PMS baseline information for payments from 1 April 2022 onwards, this will allow A/PMS practices to view global sum capitation data on their monthly contractual statements. GSUM payments
Audience: CCGs on the Welsh border
Summary: NHS Digital has fixed the problem with the data, but this will affect some quarter 4 GSUM payments for affected practices. Practices do not need to take any action. Where CCGs have made advances to their practices to resolve this locally, these will now need to be recovered by making correction entries to the Contract Variations submitted in PCSE Online.

Date: 03 November 2021
Summary: NHS Digital has identified an issue with their Q3 Practice List size data for Practices situated near the Welsh border. Once NHS Digital has fixed the problem, the PCSE Payments Team will determine who has been affected, make any adjustments required to their GSUM payment and communicate this to the affected practices.

Date: 09 July 2021
Summary: Your GSUM payment for July-September will show in two locations. The majority will show under the main GSUM heading and the remaining amount under the adjustment heading, but showing as a GSUM code. Your payment is not affected. The team are working to resolve the issue.

Date: 08 July 2021
Summary: From July 2021, your GSUM payment will be calculated via a different data source, the Personal Demographics Service (PDS) component of the central NHS Spine. The Capitation data (patient list sizes) moves from NHAIS to PDS and is one of the main inputs for GSUM payment you receive. We have been running GSUM calculations for the past 18 months using data from both sources in our test systems to ensure results are consistent and correct.

Summary: We have identified an error which means some GPs had duplicate pensions payments taken in June. To rectify the issue, GPs are either being refunded in August or no pension deduction will be taken in July. We have notified GPs individually and also their practices.

Summary: A small group of practices did not have pension contributions deducted for pension scheme members between 1 June 2021 and September 2021. Pension scheme numbers (SD numbers) were missing for some pension scheme members in the legacy system and was therefore not migrated with the rest of the information to the GP Payments and Pensions service. Contributions will be deducted over November, December and January to correct this, where there are sufficient funds available.

We have now updated the employee contributions data and resolved the issue.
