Opt Out of the Pension Scheme

 

Opting out of the NHS Pension Scheme is straightforward via PCSE Online, and the online form means you no longer have to complete the SD502 form. 

Simply just log into PCSE Online, select the GP Pensions tab and click the Opt Out option from the dashboard. Provide the date you want to opt out from, enter today's date and tick to confirm the instruction.

Auto-enrolment in the NHS Pension Scheme

When a GP joins a new practice, they are automatically enrolled into the NHS Pension Scheme. 

If a new GP at a practice wants to opt out, they will need to opt out.
