Covid-19 Test Kits

Important changes to lateral flow device test ordering

From Monday 5 July 2021, all orders for lateral flow testing kits for primary care staff should be placed through GOV.UK instead of the PCSE site.

Staff will be able input the postcode of their workplace to ensure the tests are registered as belonging to an NHS member of staff. A box of seven tests will then be posted to their home address.

For further information about this, please read the latest update here.

A new Standard Operating Procedure and Frequently asked Questions for Primary Care Organisations can be found here.

Call 119 for any queries or email england.covid-lfd@nhs.net.

Any order placed through PCSE Online up until midnight on Sunday 4 July will be fulfilled by PCSE.

I need to order more than 54 test kits for our staff, how do I do this?

Please contact the team at pcse.urgentsupplies@nhs.net

My order has been cancelled why is this?

Test kits need to be ordered separately to your normal supplies order. Any orders placed with other supplies items cannot be processed and will need to be cancelled.

Orders will be cancelled if multiple orders are placed to remove risk of over ordering. If there is a need for more than 54, please contact the PCSE team at pcse.urgentsupplies@nhs.net.

Do I have to report the results of my test, negative or positive?
It is imperative that all staff undertaking lateral flow testing report their test results as it is a statutory notifiable disease reporting requirement. All test results (positive, negative or indeterminate) are to be reported via this link Report a COVID-19 rapid lateral flow test result - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

We are not a primary care organisation, can we order test kits through PCSE?
No, we are only able to provide kits to primary care organisations. Please contact DHSC at NTPHub@dhsc.gov.uk to request kits.
