Accountants

Overview

Accountants working on behalf of GP Pension Scheme Members can access the Pensions and Payments services on PCSE Online. Access is provided by the GP Practice User Administrator.

There are two roles that can be provided:

  • GPP _GP Pension Accountant – this allows the user to use PCSE Online to complete Type 1 and Type 2 forms on behalf of a GP Pension Scheme Member at a Practice, as well as check their Employee Contribution Statement.

Once the Type 1 or Type 2 form has been completed by the accountant, the GP Pension Scheme Member needs to log in to complete the declaration and submit the form.

  • GPP – Statements – this allows the user to view monthly statements for the Practice they are providing accountancy services for.

Requesting Access to PCSE Online

text:

It is important to note, with the introduction of the enhanced functionality for accountants, any previous GP Accountant role has been removed.

Accountants will need to have a new GP Pension Accountant role allocated to allow new or continued access to PCSE Online.

Please speak to the GP Pension Scheme Member and the Practice User Administrator as they will require information in order to set up your account and link an accountant with the relevant GP Pension Scheme Member at that practice.

As part of the set up process of a GP Pension Accountant PCSE Online account, the Practice User Administrator will need the following information for the accountant:

  • Accountant email address
  • Accountant first name
  • Accountant surname
  • Accountant telephone number
  • Accountant mobile number

Once the Practice User Administrator has created the user account, the accountant will receive a verification email. The accountant should click on the link in the email to verify their email address and set their password.

Only once this verification procedure has been completed, will the link between accountant and GP Pension Scheme Member be complete.

The accountant can then log into PCSE Online and act on behalf of the GP Pension Scheme Member at that practice.

Good to know

Information about roles:

It is important that user roles are not shared, and a user role should be created for each person who needs to access the Pensions and Payments services on PCSE Online.

Once the GP Pensions Accountant user account has been set up in PCSE Online, the accountant can be linked to other GP Pension Scheme Members at that practice.

If the accountant represents GP Pension Scheme Members at other practices, the Practice User Administrator at each practice will need to link the accountant in the same way.
