I'm a patient - do I need to be registered at a GP practice to get the Covid-19 vaccine?
No, you do not need to have a GP or an NHS number to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
If you don’t have an NHS number you can contact your local GP surgery to organise the vaccine or attend a COVID-19 vaccination walk-in centre or pop-up centre. You can use the link below to find your nearest walk-in centre:

If you have an NHS number, when you are invited for your vaccine, we encourage you to attend.

Do I need a new GP code if I move to a new practice?
Yes. If you move to a new practice, a new GP code will be issued to you as part of the Performers List change notification process. Please do not use your old GP code once you move to a new practice, as this would result in new patient registrations being assigned to your previous practice, and the patient’s medical records would be sent to your previous practice. Notifying PCSE of a change of clinical system/system migration
Please notify PCSE a week before the change takes place so that we can arrange to turn the GP Links off.

PCSE will confirm the highest transaction number as this will need to be passed on to your new Clinical System Supplier so that they can increase the Practice Transaction Numbers to prevent duplications occurring, which can occur with system changes.
Please do not attempt to send any registrations through the GP links until the GP links are turned back on (go live date).
