The online Performers List service for existing dental performers

From 2nd December, as a dentist currently on the Performers List, you will need to ensure you are registered for PCSE Online. We will be sending an email with a unique registration code to all dentists registered on Compass, so it’s important that you ensure your contact details are up to date on the system. Check with your practice manager that your email address is correct.

The Performers List self-service function will enable current performers to confirm or amend their own details (e.g. change of address or status) via the portal as and when required.

Overall, the move from paper-based applications and change notifications to online will create a more simplified, quicker process as:

  • It removes the need to download, complete, scan and email forms
  • Is available 24 hours a day
  • Applicants and performers can see the status of their application or update in real-time
  • Any missing or incorrect information is highlighted so it can be addressed before being submitted
  • Documents can be uploaded directly into PCSE Online
  • Performers can check the accuracy of the information held on them on the Performers List and make amendments quickly and easily

Dentist changing practice

Dentists who change practice have not needed to inform PCSE of this, so the Dental Performers List may not necessarily have the correct information about where you are currently practicing. This is because PCSE does not process employment updates for dental performers; this needs to be managed by the dental practice via Compass.

The online performers list system is now live for Dentists and all dental performers will be able to log into PCSE Online to update all practice changes. The National Performers List website will then be updated.

This means you will need to ensure you are registered for PCSE Online. We will be sending an email with a unique registration code to all dentists registered on Compass, so it’s important that you ensure your contact details are up to date on the system. Check with your practice manager that your email address is correct. If you have not received an email, please visit the PCSE Login page, and in the Register section, select the I want to register as a Practitioner option.

We will keep practices updated via our regular Dental bulletin, sent out to all registered dental practices. To find out more, you can also visit our What’s Changing page and our News page has the most up to date information about our other services and important information relevant to you as a dentist.

Moving from Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales or abroad, to practice in England

Dental practitioners from the rest of the UK who are moving to England to practice need to join the Performers List for England. Inclusion on any other Performer List is not transferable and a new application is necessary.

Dentists from abroad also need to apply to join the Performer List for England.

Follow the same process in the Joining the Performers list section.

Dentists who change practice currently do not need to inform PCSE of this, so the Dental Performers List may not necessarily have the correct information about where you are currently practicing. The Local Office Details section on your PCSE Online Performer Home Page is where you can edit or change details of your NHS England Local Office.

Read our Local Office Details User Guide for more information.
