Performer List Validation by Experience (PLVE) for Dentists who qualified in EEA or Overseas

HEE are undertaking a review of the PLVE process, so are not accepting new applications at the present time.  They expect this to be completed within the next 4 – 6 weeks. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

The Performer List Validation by Experience is for UK graduate dentists and dentists from outside of the EEA who have not previously undertaken Dental Foundation (Vocational) Training, and are required to demonstrate equivalent competencies to those gained on completion of a full year of Dental Foundation Training, in order to gain access to the National Dental Performer list.

Information for dentists from Europe and Overseas is available from the National Advice Centre for Postgraduate Dental Education (NACPDE).

Information about Working and Postgraduate Training as a Dentist in the UK can be found on the COPDEND website.

To find out more, visit our What’s Changing page and our News page has the most up to date information about our other services and important information relevant to you as a dentist.

We are responsible for processing these changes and need you to tell us about any of the following:

Quick links

We can only make the changes on/after the date the change happens, and not before. You can submit your NPL3 form before the date the change happens and we will get all the necessary preparation work underway.

Dentist changing practice

Dentists who change practice currently do not need to inform PCSE of this, so the Dental Performers List may not necessarily have the correct information about where you are currently practicing. This is because PCSE does not process employment updates for dental performers; this needs to be managed by the dental practice via Compass.

From December 2019, the online performers list system will be live for Dentists and all dental performers will be able to log into PCSE Online to update all practice changes. The National Performers List website will then be updated.

This means you will need to ensure you are registered for PCSE Online. We will be sending an email with a unique registration code to all dentists registered on Compass, so it’s important that you ensure your contact details are up to date on the system. Check with your practice manager that your email address is correct.

We will keep practices updated via our regular Dental bulletin, sent out to all registered dental practices. To find out more, you can also visit our What’s Changing page and our News page has the most up to date information about our other services and important information relevant to you as a dentist.
