Overview
If a member wishes to fully retire from the pension scheme they have the option to return to work after a break of at least 24 hours.
Please note, if you are a salaried GP or a Partner, pension contributions will cease to be deducted from the practice after the date of your full retirement. Your practice needs to complete a Pension Joiner form on PCSE Online to recommence the deduction of pension contributions following your break from work.
All previously retired members have the option to return to work and re-join the 2015 NHS Pension Scheme to earn further benefits, from the 1st April 2023 onwards. If you return to work the practice you join needs to complete a Pension Joiner form on PCSE Online to commence the deduction of pension contributions.
